CT Car Insurance
CT car insurance law states that if you don’t carry insurance or have a break in insurance coverage, the DMV must be notified. If you fail to comply with a warning notice sent to your mailing address, the DMV will then suspend your driver’s license and you won’t be allowed to register another vehicle. That’s a pretty tough law for something as simple as making sure financial responsibilities are met.
But even if you live in CT, car insurance doesn’t have to mean you’re stuck with whatever local high end insurance company operating near where you live. You can find a policy you can live with that won’t cost you an arm and a leg to get. All you have to know are the requirements for insurance in the state, which in Connecticut are 20/40/10 and you do have to carry underinsured as well as uninsured coverage. But if you pull quotes from a site that gives you multiple choices in companies, you can easily find coverage that satisfies the state requirements.
